The sleepy town of Heartsdale, Georgia, is jolted into panic when Sara Linton, paediatrician and medical examiner, finds Sibyl Adams dead in the local diner. As well as being viciously raped, Sibyl has been cut: two deep knife wounds form a lethal cross over her stomach. But it's only once Sara starts to perform the post-mortem that the full extent of the killer's brutality becomes clear. Police chief Jeffrey Tolliver - Sara's ex-husband - is in charge of the investigation, and when a second victim is found, crucified, only a few days later, both Jeffrey and Sara have to face the fact that Sibyl's murder wasn't a one-off attack. What they're dealing with is a seasoned sexual predator. A violent serial killer...

 A Brilliant read.

I read lots of thriller/horror/detective books and this is amongst the best I've ever read. It's twisted, gory, clever and compulsive. I finished it in 3 days. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this.

I read this not knowing anything about the author and i was addicted from the start. Found it an excellent read and i couldn't put it down.

I was so impressed that i also read the rest of the books in the Grant series (which were also brilliant!). Would highly recommend to anyone who likes thriller books

fantastically written and brilliantly grusome story

Ever since purchasing Karin Slaughters 'Skin Privaledge' while on holiday ive been completely hooked on her style of writing. Each chapter ends with a cliff hanger to make you read on. The characters grow and evolve. This particular book kept me addicted from start to finish, suspecting several different characters until the truth was finally and brutally revealed. Not for the faint hearted but a brilliant read.

 Fantastic, fear gripping book

I hardly ever read but when i bought this book at a supermarket, i couldnt believe how good it was. Seriously there were parts in the book i found myself holding my breath and my heart pounding. Iv just ordered the next book KISSCUT and im hoping its just as good. Truely the best book iv read although i havent read alot.

one of the best books i have ever read

This book is fantastic - i booked a late deal to spain and didn't have time to stop to buy a 'holiday read' we were delayed at the airport and by the time we were ready to board i had finished the book and bought the second one in the series from the airport!

The book keeps you guessing all the way through - i have now read all of the grant county series and would recommend every one of them but this one in particular is amazing - my only advice - read the series in order
