Tormented and racked with guilt over the brutal slaying of his wife and daughter, Charlie Parker, ex-cop with the NYPD, agrees to track down a missing girl. It is a search that will lead him into an abyss of evil. At the same time, he is warned by an old black woman in Louisiana that 'The Travelling Man' is about to strike again. Multiple strands converge with a horrific confrontation in which hunter and hunted are intimately connected by guilt.

this is the darkest and most enjoyable book i have ever read. from the moment you pick it up you will be transported to a world that you will belive is 100 percent real, you will fall in love with the charecters in this book and the last thing you will want to do is put it down. ive read this book 3 times and will probably read it again some time soon. trust me when i say you need to buy this book.

Awesome series, one of the best out there!!!!

Very very good book (and series). Cannot praise it enough. Im starting to notice that every crime/thriller/mystery ect...that i pick up, the main protagonist is a skilled Forensic pathologist or psychologist or something related to those fields blah blah ect..ect... very boring and its turning in to a donkey thats being well and truly flogged to death!!!!! but here comes an Author who uses their imagination and story telling to bring us a great series of thrillers. To write about its plot here would take ages and not only that why should i spoil it for you. get it, its fantastic :)

 Dark, brooding and brilliant

This is the first book in the Charlie Parker series and one of the best book i've read in years, but be warned this book is not for the faint of heart. From the outset your thrown into a world that is dark and menecing and with the book moving along at high speed it leaves you unable to put it down. Buy this book so you don't miss out on one of the best writers to be published in years.

 Truly Outstanding

Without doubt one of the best books I have ever read, and also unlike anything else. This book will take you to a dark place. The main charachter charlie Parker is a hard man who's ben through a lot and struggles with the morality of what he does, but its his morals that he follows to try and track down a violent serial killer. You end up feeling Parkers pain and completely caught up in the story. Fantastically written, its almost poetry at times. Buy it.
