Emily Pointer would rather jog naked through Harvey Nichols' beauty hall than be seen with last season's handbag. A fashion stylist with "Chic" magazine, Emily is a natural blonde, a effortless size 10, travels the world for work and gets 30 per cent discount at Prada. As far as she's concerned, life is perfect.

I found the beginning of this novel a tad slow and found it difficult to stay interested. A few chapters in, however, and the story begins to unfold and the personality of the characters start to shine through. Emily is a typical fashionista who loves nothing more than shopping in designer shops and going to fashion shows. Her husband is the head of a cosmetics brand and although life at home appears to be peachy, there are definitely cracks which begin to show. Despite the slow start, I would recommend this for anyone who's interested in the fashion world as a lot of the dialogue is focused in this area. It's a tad predictable at times but still an enjoyable read with a good plot.

 A let down

Loved the title of this book and thought it would be right up my street. However, it was slow to start with and dragged on in places where I felt I was loosing interest in it. The characters are interesting and it was great to read about how life would be like on a fashion magazine. The ending was a let down, it came all of a sudden leaving me with many questions unanswered. I felt it could of been shortened a bit leaving more space for a thorough ending.
