If Tim Moore had been paid each time that i'd read this book, then he'd be at least £20 better off....Without doubt my favourite book, it's about a reasonably useless chap (at least in terms of cycling, though certainly not in terms of writing!), who undertakes what must have been an amazing adventure; one that involved bonking (ooh er), drugs, bad stomachs, wasted scenery, cycling mechanics, lies and, of course, savlon on the perineum. I cannot recommend this book highly enough, not only is it funny, but if you want to learn about the history of the "Tower" de France, then this is also very well researched....

Like all Tim Moore books this is basically a travelog with some preliminary build up before he sets off on his mad journey.
Again, like all his of books that I've read, it will have you laughing out loud like a maniac. If you're on a train or an airplane people will think you're mad!
Can't recommend it highly enough
