The second book in Robert Jordan's internationally bestselling epic fantasy series, THE WHEEL OF TIME, now reissued with a stunning new cover design. The Forsaken are loose, the Horn of Valere has been found and the Dead are rising from their dreamless sleep. The Prophecies are being fulfilled - but Rand al' Thor, the shepherd the Aes Sedai have proclaimed as the Dragon Reborn, desperately seeks to escape his destiny. Rand cannot run forever. With every passing day the Dark One grows in strength and strives to shatter his ancient prison, to break the Wheel, to bring an end to Time and sunder the weave of the Pattern. And the Pattern demands the Dragon. Look out for more information on this title and others at www.orbitbooks.co.uk

A very good follow up after the first book in the series. Looking forward to receiving book number 3 in the series in the mail!

this is a great book that belongs in a great set. I am currently reading book number 5, Fires of heaven and have read the ones before. Robert Jorden goes in to great detail that leaves you fantasising. Its a great book for all kinds of people, most of my family read it. Its a great book, buy it, but read the first one first obviously. Buy it.

Good continuation in the series, but better is to come

Top 100 Books Reviewer

A good 2nd book which is always hard in a fantasy series, as the characters need to start developing all the quicker and the main plotline needs to start gaining progress, Robert Jordan achieves this in this book, the storyline continues where it left of in the last book and progresses nicely with a chase sequence for most of the volume, but it quietly starts to introduce some of the secondary characters which later on will have an impact (i.e the forsaken Lanfaer, The Seanchan), also the 3 main characters (Rand, Mat and Perrin) split up for some of the book and start their own storylines which will make some of the future books more interesting

Good book but mainly is a platform for the next few in the series
