  Good book but over-hyped!

I bought this book (and the other two) to see what all the fuss was about and I enjoyed it but I wasn't as blown away as I expected to be. Yes, Christian Grey is hot and mysterious but the story is a little predictable. Also, I found it hard to imagine the characters as American as some of the wording and phrases made it easier for me to read it as if they were English (maybe that's just me?). It's also repetitive in places but if you can get over that then it's a nice book to read. Not that different from most chick lit with a bit of naughtiness thrown in.

This is a must have book... After 3 chapters couldn't put it down! Definitely as filthy as the papers say.

Very addictive, yes it's very sexually explicit but a fantastic story at the same time. I read all 3 in a week. Brilliant.

I honestly don,t know what all the hype was about this book, it was ok!! I found the storyline a bit borring, I supose if your into S and M or whatever floats your boat your,ll enjoy it. I think it was very overrated though

It is a good book but its certainly not 5 stars. The characters are not lovable and its a bit unrealistic. Its not even nearly good as a jackie collins.

  A Worthy Read

Enjoyed the book but without analysing it too much, would a man really change his ways for love? Maybe in the interim, but not long term. The plot reminded me a little of nine and a half weeks.

Any how, great book, same story line as many chick lit fantasy novels. Worthy of a read.

A totally amazing gripping trilogy. I couldn't do or focus on anything until I finished all three books. Looking forward to the film. Paul Brittany for the leading role. He'll capture the sexy handsome Mr shady Grey

There should be a 0 star rating.

Started reading and I thought 'I'm sure I've read this before' - it made sense when I realised it was originally a Twilight fanfiction and I had it on favourites for ages.
Brilliant, and am glad to see it getting a following of it's own. If you enjoy this, though, I would recommend going onto fanfiction.net and looking up some of the M rated such as 'The Dominant' and 'The Submissive' as they are very much in the same vein and this is where this story had it's debut anyway. :-)
Very much for an adult market, this story had plenty of plot, but a BDSM culture that new readers to this should be wary of. :-)
Mr. Grey/Cullen ... sooooo dreamy but dirty. ;-)

I read these books before they became the phenomenon they are now. I picked it up because I liked the look of he cover and I love a trilogy. Anyway, to say I was surprised at the content is an understatement! That said I loved them! I have recommended them to everyone and everyone enjoys them. I would love to know where the author gets her info from lol!!
