I bought this book (and the other two) to see what all the fuss was about and I enjoyed it but I wasn't as blown away as I expected to be. Yes, Christian Grey is hot and mysterious but the story is a little predictable. Also, I found it hard to imagine the characters as American as some of the wording and phrases made it easier for me to read it as if they were English (maybe that's just me?). It's also repetitive in places but if you can get over that then it's a nice book to read. Not that different from most chick lit with a bit of naughtiness thrown in.
I honestly don,t know what all the hype was about this book, it was ok!! I found the storyline a bit borring, I supose if your into S and M or whatever floats your boat your,ll enjoy it. I think it was very overrated though
Enjoyed the book but without analysing it too much, would a man really change his ways for love? Maybe in the interim, but not long term. The plot reminded me a little of nine and a half weeks.
Any how, great book, same story line as many chick lit fantasy novels. Worthy of a read.
Started reading and I thought 'I'm sure I've read this before' - it made sense when I realised it was originally a Twilight fanfiction and I had it on favourites for ages.
Brilliant, and am glad to see it getting a following of it's own. If you enjoy this, though, I would recommend going onto fanfiction.net and looking up some of the M rated such as 'The Dominant' and 'The Submissive' as they are very much in the same vein and this is where this story had it's debut anyway. :-)
Very much for an adult market, this story had plenty of plot, but a BDSM culture that new readers to this should be wary of. :-)
Mr. Grey/Cullen ... sooooo dreamy but dirty. ;-)
