 Blyton nostalgia!

This book seemed to be completely demolished from my memory, until someone in my English Lit college class reminded me of its existance.

I now foggily remember reading this when I was 6/7 and absolutely LOVED IT. Can't remember anything in particular apart from being certain that it definitely lived up to my lively imagination when I was young!

So I'll happily recommend this to anyon,e for their imaginitave child or for anyone who also recalls such a read and wants to go back in literary time :)

I vaguely remembered the Faraway Tree from 40 years ago and I had to get a copy to read to my 7 year old daughter. This book has been absolutely amazing and every night we can't wait to read the next chapter - another adventure with a new world above the tree. I am so glad I got it and my daughter is enjoying it immensely. Highly recommended.

 Forgotten Stories

Some consider these stories old fashioned and out dated, and by today's standards I suppose they are. But the whole series of Faraway Tree stories are still magical. I read them myself as a child and I'm now reading them with my own child. If your child loves magic, mystery and has a lively imagination then they'll enjoy these good old-fashioned tales.
