At the end of the second book- in reality the second act of the story, Carroll left the reader in a terrible state.
There were many plot twists, most of them of the 'Oh NO!!' variety, leaving the reader gagging for this volume.
And in it he does not let us down. The plot races along at an astonishing pace, with many emotional highs and lows.
Brilliant stuff from start to (apparent) finish!

This is one of the best series of 'young readers' books I have ever encountered. Though frankly, it's a disgrace that young readers should have all the fun here! These are great books for anyone who can read.
So buy them!
