I enjoyed this book right from the start - and happily the further into the book I got the more I enjoyed it.
Iris' young life was quite a struggle because of the times she lived through and her family situation. I really warmed to her during these difficult times and was so glad when things improved for her.
When I got to the end of the book I so wanted to know what happened next and I have just discovered that there is a sequel. This has made me very happy and I can't wait to read it!!
