what an angel cathy is, what an emotional roller coaster ride it takes you on. I was unable to put it down until i'd finished it. I work in the care sector and I know how hard it is, but people like cathy are essential and a godsend. Thankyou from all of us Cathy.

I have only just put this book down and I think it is a must read! I left this book felling saddened, angry yet full of love for little Jodie and disgusted at what these people have done to her and the destruction levied on her childhood. Brilliant book by an amazing woman!

  Very moving book

This has to be the most moving books i have ever read. I couldn't put it down and read it within a few days. It is by far the sadest story, and the pain and suffering poor Jodie went through is awful. I have the greatest respect for Cathy, who against all odds did her best and helped Jodie along her long recovery. A recommended read.

  The sadest story ever writen

This is without doubt the sadest sotory i have ever read, yet it also inspires and motivates. Jodies story shows the absolute worst of humanity, and also shows the best, highlighting the people who care enough to do somthing, to try to repair the damage. This book will drag you through so many different emotions, it reduced me to tears of despair, but also restored my faith in humanity.
Fantastic writing style, Cathy writes about what she truly cares about, and that realy makes the difference, you can actually share her emotions as you read.
Anybody who will have contact with children should read this book.

excellent read - i read it within 24 hours it was that good - very sad how the system failed her - when it should have been protecting her - but love and trust won her heart at the end. well worth buying.

I have never been touched sooo much by a book. I feel soo sorry for any child that goes through what little jodie had to. You do not think parents can be that horrid to a child that they made.

  Truely Heartbreaking

An eye-opener to the real world. It's so gripping that you will not be able to put it down. I have never been so touched by a story but shows what goes on, and also the extra-ordinary people there are to support such children! I would suggest any one to have a read of this - but really it is not for the faint hearted, very graphic at points and very upsetting.
