When i read the first few pages of this book, i was very bored as it didnt seem that good because it was the start. But when i carried on reading and got to the second chapter i couldn't put the book down, it was so good and sad at the same time i just wanted to finish reading it. I would defaintly reccomend this to my friends and family.

O M G, when i first started reading this book, i thought what a nasty wicked child jodie was, BUT i was so wrong, she was so tormented and affected it seems impossible for her to ever get her life back, what a truly remarkable, patient and caring human being cathy glass is, and what a sham social services are, there are too many ill treated children left in bad homes with bad parents, no wonder there is so much crime these days, if kids are left with evil parents they grow up not knowing any different, i think all social services workers should read this book and take note whats going on under their very noses, cathy i admire you, cos i know i could never have done what you managed to do, well done, best wishes, and jodie, every happiness for your future you truly deserve every bit of it, missmolly, brighton

Fantastic book - unable to put it down. Cathy tells the story so well of how she as a foster carer and love she has to give changes the lives of children. I would recommend this 100% and make sure you also have a box of tissues.

The work that people like Cathy and Jill do is so important and without people like them children wouldnt be able to live ordinary lives and know what love is, they give this to the children and i have 100% complete respect for them.

Amazing book - well worth a read

What an amazing foster lady and it just brings to light how lots of children in the world are mistreated and abused, but with people like Cathy then help can be given. A heatbreaking book but would recommend.

what an amazing book ... kept me reading right to the end. i read this book in less than 24 hrs - it really touches your heart how a little girl went through so much abuse - its no wonder she misbehaved.
if you like 'a boy called it' and those other sad real life stories then you'll love this !!
your heart goes out to children who have suffered such abuse from the hands of those who should love them the most.
i have the highest respect for cathy and for foster carers like her, who have the space in their hearts and their homes to really make a difference !!!
