This book is very close to my heart. It's about no-nonsense, simple cooking with great flavours all year round. When I began writing it, I didn't really know what recipes I would come up with, but something began to inspire me very quickly... my vegetable patch! I came to realise last year that it's not always about looking out at the wider world for inspiration. Being at home, feeling relaxed and open, can also offer this. I love to spend time at home in the village where I grew up, working with the boss, Mother Nature, in my garden and seeing all my beautiful veggies coming out of the ground. Inside, you'll find over 100 new recipes, plus some basic planting information and tips if you fancy having a go at getting your hands dirty as well!

I love this book as it deals with the basics of food. Also that the recipes are easy enough to do, with food and sauces combined in this book which you would not normally find in a cook book

Some great easy recipes, however I bought the book to get some ideas for dinners .... not how to grow veg, if I had wanted that I would have bought a gardening book. A little disappointed with this one Jamie !!

I bought this book after seeing Jamie cook a couple of gorgeous looking meals on the telly. I love cooking and also have a Nigella lawson book as well. Once I recieved it, i looked through and saw some truly delicious recipes, that are oh so simple to do. The layout is simple, so is easy to follow and obviously, you don't know what the meal will look or taste like til you try it! I'd recommend this book to anyone, beginner or more experienced alike!!!!

Healthy Food without the hard work!

What I love about this book is not only the presentation on the eye, but on the ear as you read you can hear jamie's enthusiasum.

I bought this book A) because the TV series was very good, and showed that these meals were simple and tasty meals that i could make every night of the week. B) because last year I began growing my own veg & fruit more veg than fruit. I enjoyed the whole experience of growing from seed to planning the garden and eventually eating the produce, and this book gave some good tips.

Buy this book if you want to eat healthy every night of the week, but don't want to spend hours in the kitchen, or if you llike the idea of growing veg but don't know where to start (it's not a gardening book) However, it gives some helpful insights on how to get started with potatoes etc.

 At Home? most certainly!

After avidly watching the series on TV I was compelled to by Jamie's book as his 'real' recipes appealed to me. Also as a keen gardener anyway I found his tips on planting very useful and the 'magazine' layout of this latest offering was very refreshing.... Well done Jim! x
