Review

It was one of the less glorious incidents of a long-ago war. It led to the destruction of two suns and the billions of lives they supported. Now, eight hundred years later, the light from the first of those ancient mistakes has reached the Culture Orbital, Masaq'. The light from the second may not. I loved this book due to the level of complexity seen within it and all of the other culture books. I would recomend reading at least consider phleobus to understand some of the background to this book. Both titles coming from the poem the wasteland and both aptly describing their books.

The threads of this book are quite hard to follow with it going through characters and time quite rapidly but its well worth it in the end.

a great culture book!
