Sorry about the 'must read' bit, but for once it's probably deserved. Norman Baker MP has looked into the Strange Death of Dr David Kelly the weapons expert who embarassed the government and what he found should disturb everyone. The government said he committed suicide because of the media pressure (which they caused by releasing his name). But why did the paramedics who attended the scene see little blood? Why did doctors state that the cut to his wrist would not have caused his death? Why was a massive radio mast erected for long range communication (Tony Blair was flying to Japan at the time, though)? Why did Thames Valley Police start the investigation to look for the missing scientist, before he even left home for his final walk? Why was the house searched whilst his wife was told to stay in the garden? Why was the Hutton enquiry so inept and unenquiring? Ultimately, Baker cops out and goes off into strange theories abot Iraqi revenge, though why on Kelly never becomes clear.… more »

But if you ask, who stood to gain, then the answer seems clear and points in a direction which is obvious and devastatingly shocking. Will those responsible ever answer for the crime?
