Small World | Hardback

It shouldn't work. 15 or so characters all with their own stories and taking it in turns to tell you should be far too messy and complicated to make a good book. But Matt Beaumont has made it work brilliantly. All the stories fit perfectly, interweaving to a wonderful conclusion with a good few surprises. The voices are all different and all very authentic. This is a fantastic book, very funny one moment, very sad the next and plenty of suspense - though it's not even a thriller.

This book appeals to everyone. I can't think of anyone who's gone through life not experiencing the feeling of people knowing each other when considering the World is so big means that they really shouldn't.

It's fast paced and easily written. It's also not written from just one viewpoint and it makes you wonder just what someone is thinking when you talk to them!

I couldn't and didn't want to put this book down.
