Just went to the doctor for an MOT. The usual things to report back ..... loose weight and get more excercise. In the past i have dieted and stuck to it but found something inevitably happens to make me eat eat eat!!! its a vicious cycle really isn't it!.
Recently i have made up my own diets but seeing as the doctor dealt with me with a certain degree of urgency i decided to go for something that worked when i was younger and actually kept the weight off ..... the dreaded diet book.
Daft as it sounds i browsed the pages of play and amazon etc etc etc and the front cover of this one jumped out . I was drawn to it and bought it because it seemed down to earth and written by two ladies that had been there done tthat and written a book about it.
Its written well, not too complicated to follow, i mean any diet that has bacon and eggs for the first days breakfast has my vote. It tells you plainly and in non frightening and non medically how your body will react to a new life style, this is a low carb high protien affair afterall.
This diet works i have lost several pounds already and its only been a few days.
The humour and frankness throughout is refreshing and made me feel less of a social diet leper.
Thoroughly recommend this to all fellow fatties .......... good luck x

Wow this diet really works, be prepared and organised and its easy. I owrk away from home alot which has made traditional diets really hard to stick too but this is very very resturant friendly, good look all and keep an eye out for those supplements on offer!

The acme of diet books.

Tried every diet under the sun - and failed. Been on this one since the HB first appeared (Jan '07) and to date (17th Jul '08) have lost 12st 4lbs.

OK, the 'everything free-range/organic' is fine if you have the salary of a Sunday Times A-Lister but it can be adapted...

The whole psychology of fatness preamble is stunningly well written and certainly appears to have done the trick for me.

Warning: Stick with it for a year and half the world will want to know exactly how it's done...

  Great Tips!

I didn't read this book because i wanted to loose vast amounts of weight, i was just interested in the diet plan and the ladies experience. However, wether u want to loose 5 stone of 5 pounds this book is brilliant! It has loads of great tips, advice, and some lovely recipes! It has completely changed my attitude to food, and my eating habits. Its also incredibly funny! Highly reccomend it, even if you don't follow the diet, the chapters in why we eat and emotional eating are excellent!

I didnt find this book helpful, as a student it was very expensive. Lots of supplemets to buy to keep your body working. Very similar to the atkins i did loose a bit but couldnt keep it up stick to a traditional weight loss program with lasting effects like weight watchers
