This really is an incredible account of sustained conflict. The writing takes you right there, so much so that I can't stop it drifting back into my mind one week after finishing the book.
If you have even the slightest interest in or concern about what our troops are going through on our name (which surely we all should!), you must read this.

to anybody thinking about buying this book please do, unputdownable. fantastic read and showed a great insight to the "real" military life in iraq 2004, and how unrecognised war heroes stood the extreme. i would have been willing to pay alot more for the book
Fantastic!

I completely agree, have read some accounts written by Andy McNab and this really is just as gripping.
Wonderful, for any fan of true-war books.
A great book, great buy, great account.

I have read various Andy Mcnab books which have been extremly well worth the read, and Sniper One is easily well up there. If your looking for excitment, reality of war, and a real feeling of what our much appreciated soldiers go though, then this book is for you, fantastic!
amaingly brilliant

Wasnt sure what to expect when i bought this on the back of previous reviews. In short i was blown away, very well written, gripping like no other, and at the risk of a cliche, i couldnt put it down. Just 1/4 of the way through i was wondering what the rest of the book was going to be about, as it seemed like the main battles must have already been covered... little did i realise that it had only scratched the surface!! Its a disgrace that our soldiers dont get the recognition they deserve. This book opened my eyes, Thanks Dan.

This is a truely fab book, i took this on holiday and could not put it down! The story is told in a way that keeps you engaged throughout, and shame it has to end. Great to see real photos taken in Iraq by the company. Amazing, highly recommended.
