This book is amazing - I had already seen the movie when I was recommended to read the book. But even though I thought I knew what would happen I loved the book and was suprised so many times throughout the book.

this is a purely amazing book. i could not put it down. i had both the book and the film for christmas, and wanted to read the book before i saw the film. and i was glad that i did.
the book is so touching and addresses moral issues that any person would find difficult to solve. the book feels very real and the shift between characters allows you to truely understand the complex connections within the story and the character.
thoroughly enjoyed, recommend it to anyone i know.
i recently lost a friend to cancer who was the same age and i felt it covered the issues that young teenage girls face when going through chemo etc.
literary genius :)

i think the best book i've ever read, was the first jodi picoult book i read and as soon as i finished the film came out a couple of months later and it meant so much more for me because of the book, cried through both! the book makes you have to make so many decisions in your head of what is morally right and wrong for the characters, so real.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars OMG amazing, best book i have read in long time

Where do I start. this book is so hard to put down. From the first page. you really get to know the Family at all levels, their emotions and feelings and you feel them to.
Definately one to read, definately one to recommend.
Cant wait to see the movie now!!

The best book i've ever read...no exagerration here at all.
I had the choice between revising for my A level Maths exam or reading the book and as much as i love Maths, the book came first. It is filled with scenarios so real that you're sure they've happened to you. The relationship between families that Jodi Picoult manages to portray is an excellent one, absolutely brilliant that it leaves you wondering if it really is a piece of fiction. It is so real to the point that you can imagine yourself talking, arguing and genuinely feeling for these characters. And for a writer to hit the right spot and make a reader feel this way is something i cannot seem to come to terms with...in a good way.
Jodi Picoult has managed to make the best first impression for me and i hope that the second impression of the next book will be even better.
If you haven't read this book, leave any revision that you have and read it, because you won't regret it. And if you have read it, i'm sure you weren't expecting a good grade anyways.

I never liked reading about difficult social and emotional matters. Until I read this. Now, I'm totally hooked. She writes with such a flow and passion that makes you feel as if your there, but never alienates you. And the plot is simply amazing. A very good book, BUY!!! =D
