Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. After being assured that being dead was not compulsory, Mort accepted. However, he soon found that romantic longings did not mix easily with the responsibilities of being Death's apprentice.

Hilarious. One of the funniest books I've read. A great look at how the Grim Reaper would act as one of us. Pay attention as you read it as you might miss something.

 My favourite too =D

The best Discworld book of them all imho., with one small criticism - there's not enough Death in it. Read it slowly and savour the humour; you won't regret it. 20/10

 My favourite Discworld book!

Hilarious reading. Pratchett has a terrific way of starting off several different subplots and making them weave together perfectly, all the while making his readers laugh unexpectedly every few paragraphs, or else sit on the edge of their seats in suspense. I love Mort, particularly because Death (by far my favourite character) plays a huge part. Read it!
