A fantastic historical novel, set back in the Tudor times. A story about Mary Boleyn and how she won the Kings heart, only to be set aside for her sister Anne, who eventually is beheaded. This book is based on true historical facts which have been used in this fictional novel.

This book is fast paced and very exciting to read. I really enjoyed it. It gave me an insight into the life of the Tudors and I felt like I was there. My emotions were up and down reading this book, I just couldn't get enough. It is my most favourite book of all time. If you're interested in the history of the Tudors, and a fan of Philippa Gregory. You will love this book. If you're new to Philippa like I was, you will be in for a treat.

Maggie.

 A most enjoyable read!

Philippa Gregory gives an in depth story of how the two Boleyn sisters behaved at court and how they captured the King Henry's attention. I found it so enjoyable that i could not put it down for days. Philippa gives her side on the chain of events that happened at the start till the end of the Boleyn's high society life. The jealousy, hatred, passion and love is very well written that you cannot think of any other way their lives had been 500 hundred years ago.

Excellent book, I was given this book as a Christmas present, it stayed in the cuboard for about 8 mths, when I started reading it I just couldn't put it down, I was hooked. I had never read anything like it before, now I am reading them all and feel like I have learnt so much about Henry Vii and The Tudor Court. I would highly recommend it.

 exceptional!!!

This was the first Philippa gregory book that I read, and I found it very hard to put down. Im just coming to the end of The Boleyn Inheritence and although we all know how these stories end, Gregory makes you believe there could be a different ending. the Tudor series is fantastic and Im just about to order the Constant princess then Ive read them all. Her other novels such as the Wise Women are just as exceptional,

 excellent : )

there is so such more to this book than there was in the movie. philippa gregory describes the tudor court brilliantly and you really get to understand the love/hate relationship between the boleyn sisters; anne and mary. the book also show king Henry`s transition from being a fairly young, handsome and reasonable king to being a tyrant.
the book is brill would definately reccommend this to anyone who likes historical novels : )
