This has to be the best book I have ever read. I was gripped from start to finish. I don't think I will read another book that will make me feel the way I did when I read this. A lovely read full of emotion and feelings.

I read this book afew years back and i could not put it down while on holiday. the book tells a good story of a couple falling in loving and getting married him been from dublin. The husband dies and leave letters and plans for his wife to follow, this is to help her to come to term with her death. At first she is unsure but with the help of friends and family she goes to dublin to meet his family and friends, he also has birthday cards for her. Her mother is the one who helps set all of it up. I have reda the book twice and bought the dvd. i have watched the dvd a number of times and everytime i do it makes me cry and sad. The dvd is must see maybe not for the boys but defo for the girls. WHta you waitng for go and get it...

Most people say they love a book, but I truly love this one. As soon as I finished reading it, I wanted to start reading it all over again. It makes u cry and laugh out loud (expecially when denise burns her bum which is exactly what my friend denise did on a girls holiday with me). I think ill struggle to find a book as good!

In my opinion this is possibly Ahern's greatest novel. Never have I ever read a book and experienced so many different emotions on each turn of the page. I found myself truly engrossed and believing in the characters from the start. Such a lovely story and deserving of all the success it's found.

  best book by far
