My first delve into horror books came to 'salems Lot. I had heard alot of good things about Stephen King and wanted to read a horror novel about Vampires. The story takes a long time to get going, but this helps set the whole beginning of the story and allows you relate to the characters further. This book is very well written and i'd recommend it to anyone who likes vampire novels. It is a definate page turner and changed me from an "every-now-and-again" reader to an avid reader!
