A good read, but agree with the other review, certainly not a Sharpe classic. Without giving away the ending, found it a little out of charachter and in general the book wasn't as fast paced as the others. However still worth a read
Not Sharpe's finest hour

Amongst the usually brilliant Sharpe stories, Sharpe's Gold is one of the weaker books. Whilst not actually bad, the storyline seemed slow at times and lacked direction. This book is worth a look but there are much better books in this series.
