*The Number One Bestseller.

Book editor Katie is in love with poet, Matt Harrison. He seems to share her feelings, but his refusal to talk about his past makes her suspicious. All she knows is that Matt was once married. One evening, he suddenly ends their relationship, leaving Katie devastated. A few days later, he sends her a notebook that he promises will explain everything. Katie opens the book to find it is the diary that Matt's wife, Suzanne, wrote for their baby son. It tells the story of her love for Matt and Nicholas, and reveals the tragedy that haunts Matt's life today. And Katie realises he needs her to understand his past if she is ever to be a part of his future.

" A love story as suspensful as any thriller...clever, light, and as welcoming as an ocean breeze." - People

I've read and thoroughly enjoyed all James Patterson's crime/thriller books, including the Alex Cross series. I thought I'd give this book a try as something a bit different. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read - well written and kept you captivated all the way through. It was exciting, romantic, sad and happy, capturing a full range of emotions. It brought tears of pain and tears of joy. I read the book in 2 days, because I couldn't put it down. I've told all my mates about this one. I'm definitely looking for some more of this type of book from James Patterson. 11 out of 10!!!

 Loved it!!!

If you like this then you should read James Patterson's book Sam's letters for Jennifer. That has love and romance and tells a great story.
Both a great read! Love all James Patterson's books and would recommend to anyone who asks about books to read.

 Heart warming and wrenching

I borrowed this book yesterday and returned it this morning! I could not put it down. What a contrast to Alex Cross! Such a sensitive touch. It is very rare that a book can make me cry - this one did. I will recommend this to everyone.
