Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cook had a lot in common. Both high flying army women, both victims of sexual harassment, they left the army under dubious circumstances. Both are now dead, their bodies discovered, unmarked and unscarred, in their own homes. Jack Reacher, former US military policeman, loner and drifter, knew them both. Psychological profiling points to a smart guy, solitary, army, someone who knew both of his victims. The perfect psychological match, Reacher is arrested by an ambitious FBI Special Agent, Julia Lamarr. But when the body of another woman, Sergeant Lorraine Stanley, is discovered, killed with similar precision, Reacher is released. Everyone fears there is a serial killer on the loose. But the FBI have strong persuasive powers, and before long Reacher finds himself heavily involved in the murder investigation. What have these women got in common and why is someone out to do them harm?In this magnificent, utterly ingenious thriller, Reacher once again saves the day, proving that he is a unique hero, capable of holding his own in any situation, and "The Visitor" confirms that Lee Child is more than capable of challenging the established names currently writing in this genre.

Classic Reacher with a suspenseful plot

In a terrific series this is possibly the best. The Reacher books are consistently well written but this book stands apart with a much more suspenseful and intrguing plot than usual.

i ve been reading the collection of books dedicated to the strange, interesting and some times down right exciting and thrilling adventures a a man called Jack Reacher. At first glance Jack Reacher is a drifter with no purpose and no aims, because of his enormous size and approach to life he basically gets left to himself. But hes not normal hes and Ex member MP (military Police) recently retired and he just wants to live with out ties or a plan. But he always seems to find his way to where there is trouble and he usually gets in the thick of it. leading to an exciting and thrilling read with interesting and unexpected twists and turns. In this book he gets collared behind a coffee shop and accused of a string of murders by a military detective. How will he clear his name, how was responsible and can he stop it happening again? well i know the answer and i really enjoyed reading this book and i would recommend it to anyone who likes there murder mystery's or military based books. After reading this book i went out and brought the rest of his on going collection hope you enjoy them as much as me!
