This book is about eating dissorders so you would think that you'd ahve to suffer to understand it - however I would seriously recomend it to anyone who is struggling with a friend or family member going through an eating dissorder as it gives you a true insight into just what goes on during this time. It is very deep and isn't a light read by any means but is worth it for the final understanding this book provides.

Wasted is an autobiographical book telling the story of a young woman's life long struggle with eating disorders, namely anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. It is written with compassion and feeling, and the author takes a soul searching look at how eating disorders have affected the course of her life both past and present.

The book is beautifully written and provides a meaningful insight into how the desire to loose weight can become a life threatening obsession.

Both people who have had experience with eating disorders and those wishing to gain some kind of insight or understanding will benefit a lot from this book, as will those just looking for a well written and thought provoking read.
