I knew Slash was a hellraiser before, but damn!

I found reading this book to be really captivating, I couldn't put it down as soon as it came through the post. Slash is really honest about his whole life to date, from his childhood, the highs and lows of being in G N'R, the Snakepit and Velvet Revolver and of course the sex, drugs and alcohol. He doesn't mince his words one bit about the whole sex, drugs and rock n' roll excess he's experienced which was in my opinion the most interesting part to read about. Also his relationship with Axl Rose is also interesting, from how they were close in the early days to the point where they were only communicating through their management in their final days. Overall the book is really interesting to read, I knew slash was a hellraiser but once you read this it really does shock you.

A classic, very honest take on one of(if not) the world greatest guitar player(s) ever.

It shows that you can put your mind to anything if you want it enough and that life is full of twists and turns to keep you on your toes.

As a reasonable GNR fan and an ex guitar learner, I stumbled across this title by accident looking for books for someone else.

I love struggle tales either real or fictional, Kane and Abel being a guide to the fictional kind of book that I love, but upon reading the description, I thought that this is going to be one hell of a book that cannot be missed especially for a fiver.

I hope that this book comes out in audiobook format, as I have a blind friend who loves GNR and this would make his day.

This is going to be a must read for any fan or any guitar player really.

I am not a fan of this band overly. Granted they had huge amounts of success. Some of the stories of his binges and the band fights are brilliant. Slash tells it how it is and leaves no stone unturned. GnR were a ride of chaos and mayhem - this book captures it all perfectly. Any music fan will appreciate this read.
