At first i found this book very hard to get into, but after reading on i found it very hard to put down. Its one of those books that i think you just dn't want to end. This book is very thought provoking, and made me think alot about my life, as i'm 18 and the girl tessa was not far from 17. Its an amazing book, and i dare anyone not to cry or even come close to tears when they read it. A definate must read!!!!

This book is soooo sad but a must read for everyone. The realistic way it is written it is hard not to believe you are tessa or what it would be like to be dying. I cry like a baby everytime i read this book but it hasnt stopped me from reading it over and over. I recommend this book to all my freinds who all love to read and everyone has said how glad they are that they gave it a go. A must read!

I read this book because sevral friends recommened it to me. I was unsure because i usally read books with action and mostly vampires in. I love this book so much, it is one of the best quick reads i have read. It is full of different emotions, i went from laughing to tears. It makes you think about how lucky you are, because this story happens to load of people, who suffer with cancer. It's a really good book, defenatly recommed.

  heartbreaking and warming

This has to be one of the most moving books i have ever read. you really feel the pain and struggles tess goes through and her determination to live until the list is finished is so strong, its like reading a real autobiography in a way.
this is the first book that has ever made me cry. and for a book to have that power proves that it is indeed a great book.

'Cal says that humans are made from the nuclear ash of dead stars. He says that when I die, I'll return to dust, glitter, rain.'

  I love this book

Hi! I'm a year 10 student and i absolutely loved this book. I'm not a massive reader aswell. This is one of the saddest but the best books i have ever read. You can really imagine a picture of what Tess was like! Jenny Downham is a really good writer and she creates a little humour with tess's list to do before she dies. It made me laugh and cry. I fully reccomend it.

Wasn't too sure I liked the start of the book but continued on. The more I read the more I got into the storyline. The characters were very down to earth and real. I so wanted to cuddle Cal and tell him everything would be alright. You really did feel for what Tess was/had to go through and how it was affecting those nearsest and dearest. I thought from Chapter 37 onwards she really had to come to terms with her condition and knew she couldn't get better. A book you definitely need tissues for. Very descriptive towards the end, but spot on (speaking from experience of losing a loved one).

  GREAT!!!
