Comment: This book is in good or better condition. It has no tears to the pages and no pages will be missing from the book. The spine of the book is still in great condition and the front cover is generally unmarked. It has signs of previous use but overall is in really nice, tight condition. Shipping is normally same day from our UK warehouse. We offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

He's known worldwide as a legendary independent filmmaker, writer, and cultural commentator, but now Kevin Smith releases the book for which his legions of fans have been waiting. In Silent Bob Speaks, Smith launches himself on an unsuspecting world with a series of hilarious rants on the absurdity of just about everything.
Unlike his mute alter ego Silent Bob, Smith is always ready to let rip at maximum volume, whether it be on the madness of Hollywood, "The Unholy Tale of Greasy Reese Witherspoon", his bloodcurdling hatred of Britney Spears or the antics of the highly sexed comics industry. Along the way we get a shocking insight into the making of Smith's movies, juicy titbits about his friendship with Ben Affleck, and learn "too much information" about his bathroom habits.
Smith and his movies have a huge cult following, his oeuvre includes the New Jersey-bound "Askewniverse" quintet of Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. After covering the travails of parenting in Jersey Girl, Smith is currently in the midst of filming a triumphant return to his earliest creations, Dante and Randall, in The Passion of the Clerks, due for release later this year.
A love of comic books forms an integral part of Kevin Smith's movies, from the frequent references to comic book characters to a fascination with the industry in which he now plays a major part. His fan-favourite runs on Titan's own Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob and Green Arrow series have made him one of the top comic book writers working today. Silent Bob Speaks is his first prose collection, and has massive crossover appeal - everyone from curious moviegoers to fans of counter-cultural loudmouth Michael Moore will be sure to get a dirty chuckle out of Smith's outrageous exposés!

"Kevin Smith is voluble, articulate proof that swearing is both big and clever - Funny as hell." - Empire

 Great & Easy To Read

This book is ideal if you find it hard to sit down and commit to reading a book cover to cover. The reasons for this being each chapter if you can call them that are short and simple to understand as you need not be a Kevin Smith enthusiast to follow this his series of colums in 'Arena Magazine'.

My favourites in particular are the two interviews with Ben Affleck and Tom Cruise each slightly longer chapters. Aswell as the beginning when he goes through the interviews taken place in the run up to J&SBSB.

The thing that added a slight weird feeling to this read was the Jersey Girl account of the story as i was reading this after the failure of his film, that unfortunately he seemed rather hopeful of and proud to be a part of.

Overall a good read.

Just what you expect from Kevin Smith

An amusing collection of comedic diatribes by funnyman Kevin Smith, if you're a fan of his films then you'll doubtless be familiar with the witty dialogue his films are laden with and that is pretty much what to be expected here.

Includes a couple of insightful interviews with Tom Cruise and Ben Affleck, a hilarious rant about Britney Spears, why he hates (and he does, deservedly so) "Greasy" Reese Witherspoon and his accounts on being diagnosed morbidly obese. Some good laughs for a great price.

Had to stop reading it, people were starting to stare...

Seriously funny, especially the story about him and Ben Affleck toilet papering Reese Witherspoon's house. I was reading it on a train and had to put it away in the end because I genuinely couldn't stop laughing - I was shaking, snorting and crying, and people were starting to stare.

If you're a fan of any of the View Askew films, it's a purchase well worth making.
