This was a Christmas gift as I love Rachel Allens's cookery programmes. It is a wonderful book and not having baked since childhood it has re-ignited a great love I had forgotten. My house has been filled with fantastic smells and I have managed to get things right first time because the recipies are easy to follow. I would definately recommend this book for those of you considering baking as there are basic recipies right through to the more complicated. It won't do much for your waistline if you have no willpower like me. I made a chocolate cake yesterday for the first time and my mum who is quite a harsh critic when it comes to my cooking phoned today to say how great it was. Enough said I think especially if you knew my her!! I highly recommend this book.

 Truly Delicious!

This is an excellent book. All the receipes are clearly written, and best of all , they work. My daughter and I have discovered (my daughter) and rediscovered (me) the delights of baking again. And we are now getting reputations for being excellent bakers. We have baked cakes and puddings for friends and family having celebrations and have got nothing but praise. Thank you Rachel. delicious.

 Love It!

I love Rachel Allen's tv programmes and this book has a collection of some of her best recipes. With lovely illustrations and alternative ingredient options in many recipes this is a must for everyone who likes to cook.
Highly recommended!
