I saw the anime's first so I thought I'd check out the original source, the manga and I loved it!
The anime was good but this was SO much better, for starters it had a sense of humour, great artwork, a lot more development of the characters and it didn't seem at all pretentious like I found the animes to be.
My favourite parts were the little notes the author would leave between panels which leave helpful little explanations and advice!
A must for any fan of sci-fi graphic novels and the Ghost In The Shell movie/series its (surprisingly) a lot of fun to read, definitely recommended
