I thoroughlly enjoyed reading the 5 stories and then Dumbledore's take on them. Jk has included a little extra history in the eplanations of the stories too. Its her extra details that I always like with JK for example on one of the first pages it says 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger'. Each story has a hidden meaning and it just shows how much time and effort JK has put in to her wizarding world that surrounds Harry Potter. When reading Dumbledore's input I felt like he was talking from beyond the grave!!! Thanks Jk and Play! x

That is a must for everyone who wants to read Harry Potter books. It is a very good lecture, sometimes funny, and it explain a lot of the things that aren't explained by the books.

I suggest you tu buy Magical Beasts and Quidditch Through the Centuries as well.

I've been really looking forward to this book, as a 14 year old teenager starved of 'harry potter' and I must say I enjoyed this book a great deal. The stories are funny, and although they are 'fairytales', they are no so childish that the language and plot is basic (read the warlock's hairy heart, then you'll understand). It was a good way to send off Harry Potter, and the money is going to charity too! All in all, a good buy.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Great fairy tales for children as well as adults!

This book consists of 5 wizarding fairy tales that seem so good that they belong with the classics such as okay i cant think of one just yet but these are classics my favourite 2 was warlock with the hairy heart and also the wizard and the hopping pot. In some of the stories it tells of wizards and helping muggles etc. The harry potter element comes in albus dumbledores notes witch add a few extra pages to each story. Sometimes refrencing characters such as lucius malfoy. Although quick to read this is must for any harry potter fan or even fairy tales to tell the kids .

Being an avid Harry Potter fan I had to buy this book. I knew it wasn't a continuation of the Harry Potter series and so I had very little expectations from the book. As soon as I started reading the fairytales I was delightfully surprised to read Dumbledore's comments on the stories especially since they are related to the Harry Potter universe. They give more insight to the Harry Potter series especially the last fairytale.
In my opinion every Harry Potter fan should own a copy of this book. Pity it was so short.
We want more!!
