At 128 pages "Joker" is neither too long or too short. And the story is quite simple really.
The joker is released from arkham, no one is sure why, and Jonny Frost, a nobody who wants to be somebody , offers to pick the joker up.
There are numerous villains and characters making an appearance, all in a unique style to fit in with the book.
Jonny realises after a while that he is in deeper than he thought, and the Joker is far worse than he imagined.
Now onto the joker, I don't really think he looks like heath ledger, but there are similarities. The joker isn't insane, he knows what he is doing, and he likes it. This joker takes drugs, holds up shops, kills for no justifiable reason. Heath ledgers great portrayal as the Joker isnt as sick and evil as this one. Which is understandable, the film had a 12 rating , younger people are batman fans too.
This is an adult book , with adult themes, and doesn't hold back on the violence.
I have to mention the artwork. Its among the best I've seen. Every picture is rich with detail, some are even like(or maybe are) paintings.
Well worth buying, I will certainly be reading it again.
