I love the tv series and now i love the books. I usually don't enjoy reading AT ALL! But as soon as i started i couldn't stop. I love the books and i think i may be a Dexter addict.

I was in a hardware store the other day and all i could think was "hey, thats probably the same type of saw Dexter would use to cut up bodies!" Then i briefly considered buying one.

Bought this because I have been watching the series. The book is great, I could hear his voice as I was reading and the book is in more detail than the series. I do not understand why they changed the ending on the series, something they do alot! This is a great read and I could read it again and again, always a good sign. And I will be getting the next two to see how he gets on.

If you enjoy the TV series....................

If you enjoy the TV series, you'll like the book. Covers the Icetruck killer theme but quite different to the story in the program. A good twist at the end. I bought it when it was on offer as a holiday read and I wasn't disappointed.

  Deeply Disappointing... Dexter...

A wholely mediocre book that never lives up to its conceptual promise, not least because it describes Dexter's desire to kill as a kind of split-personality schizophrenia, almost completely removing the character from the tough moral decisions and lifestyle choices of his TV counterpart. It leaves a lot of plot points and detail blank, features very few actual characters that are barely developed, and uses an amaterish story trick in its finale that will leave you rolling your eyes. Stick with the mature character and the intelligence of the show that actually does live up to its promise.

  My favourite serial killer!

I must admit I bought the book only after watching the TV series. And I found it even funnier and interesting and catching than the episodes on TV. If you are looking for something new, well-written and somehow funny, to read, don't miss this book! Dexter is a lot more ironic than in the show. The story starts in the same way the show does but then it evolves in a little different way with even a total shocking and "brand-new" final. Surprising and fully entertaining this book is surely a must-read!

bought this cos it was such a bargain and I am always on the look out for new authors. I loved it, twisted, beautifully written, in a way that hooks you in from the start.Dexter is not so much anti-hero as anti-villian and some of his thoughts as he mused who he liked and didnt had me laughing out loud, for their wit. The plot was sharp and had you actually pulling for the psychopath serial killer, well the one called Dexter..so good I ordered the other 2 books in the series before I even finished the first, and read them all;one a day, they were that good. Cant wait for the next one to come out
