  Adventure and suspense.

It's a fantasy story with a lot of adventure and suspense. You can't stop reading, because you want to know the end and when you reached the end you feel sorry that you finished it. Fortunately this book has two sequels! Order the books and read them, you won't regret it and read them over and over again. Very addictive!
This book is suitable for all ages. I'm not a teenager and loved it. I think that people that like the Twilight Sage, Shiver and Wicked Lovely will also like the Hunger Games Trilogy.

  Addictive! A must read

I finished this novel last night after reading for less than two days. From the beginning the book is addictive and immediately you get a feel of the scene that Collins is setting. To begin with the conditions in which the protagonist Katniss lives in feels somewhat Victorian, with the mines, state of starvation and the cruelty of their District 12, and yet it's a contradiction, because this is set in a post- apocalyptic earth where North America is now Panem. Katniss is put into the Hunger Games something that resembles the Gladiator Games but seemingly more brutal by playing off teenagers (one as young as 12) to fight to death in an arena that is the wilderness itself. It has tones of a serious novel, and its written well and cleverly, Collins is exceptionally skilled in the way that she keeps readers nerves jingling throughout the novel.

  Best book I've ever read

This is without a doubt my favourite book ever. Or well, I love Harry Potter, but saying that it's a hard choice should tell you a lot about how great this book is.

It's amazing because you keep asking yourself what you would do in her situations. It's something new and terrible all the time, and you'll get shocked and surprised every other page..

The book is amazing, Suzanne Collins is a 100 x better writer than Stephenie Meyer will ever be, true story. And don't get fooled by the 11-16 years-mark, I'm 19 and I love it more than anything. This book is not for kids :)

Going to be as big as Harry Potter and Twilight

This is a fantastic book, aimed at young adults but equally enjoyable any age. The story is so well written that even second time round new aspects jump out at you. It doesn't follow the recent trend of vampire books (though the name would suggest otherwise). I just couldn't stop thinking of the outcome of this book for days. Truly awe inspiring.
