It was hard to imagine how Claire's day could get any worse...and then the vampires holding her hostage wanted breakfast. In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans have learned to live in relative peace. Still, Claire Danvers knows that after dark, her homework can take a backseat to staying alive. But this tenuous harmony is really turned on its head with the arrival of Mr Bishop. Bad to the bone, the ancient old-school vampire cares nothing about keeping the peace. Staying at the top of the food chain is enough. What he wants from the town's living and dead is unthinkably sinister. It's only at a formal ball attended by vampires and their human dates that Claire realises Bishop's plan a?? and the elaborately evil trap he's set for the warm-blooded souls of Morganvillea?|

I took a risk and bought the whole series in one go based purly on other peoples reviews and without reading any of them in advance and i have not been disappointed!
Rachel Cain writes a fast paced, gripping and moving story with romance, drama and action in all the right places. I can't put them down. A must for all vampire fiction lovers!

 Brilliant!

Top 100 Books Reviewer

Around 2 months ago i bought the first book in the series glass houses. After reading it in around a day, i bought the next 3 in the series, the dead girls dance, midnight alley and feast of fools. I read them in just over 3 days, and am now waiting for the next 5 to be released. These books are for anybody who love vampires, love and really action packed story. You will loath putting them down.

I found that i couldn't put the book down it was a good read, unfortunately there were a couple of inconsistencies throughout the series that ruined it slightly but i still enjoy the storyline and am looking forward to reading them all.
