I have to admit I was a wee bit sceptical at buying this collection because myself & my daughter have a big selection of Calvin & Hobbes collections, but at the reduced price I decided to get it.

The overall presentation is in a word, stunning. The hard cover collections are beautiful to look at, & the print is second to none, hard to explain, you have to see it. For some reason the colours look hand painted on some pages, & the black & white strips have never looked better, crisp, clean & sharp, for some reason they really catch your eye.

The only problem I have now, I am scared to read them in case I ever accidently damage them, & where do I hide them because my daughter wants to read them. An overall well produced book collection.

I did have a wee peak at the final strip ever written (they are all dated by ra way) & it was a very fitting ending to a consistently brilliant comic strip, and somewhere along the lines you may have seen a wee bit of yourself in the antics of Calvin.

Get rid of all those other books on your bookshelf (you will need to, it's huge), this looks better up there & is probably funnier too.

I have been a Calvin and Hobbes fan for a long time, just bought on of the books on a whim one day, I had only heard of them from a reference in the movie Point Break but since then I bought all the books and they are hilarious and very witty at times and the author holds all the copyrights so you will never see and cartoons on TV or merchandise the books are the only way.
Highly recommended.

I own all the Calvin and Hobbes books already, but trust me, it's worth getting this as well. Superb quality.
A word of warning : it weighs 10kg : it is very heavy indeed and certainly not for children to manhandle.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars a must-have collection at a fantastic price
