Have not yet read it (have read the book though) but I do recomend it to all max ride fans, anyone yet to read the series and manga fans. The manga has been drawn well and it puts pictures to faces in a way, to help the reader with what the flock look like. The only issue I have with it is it is laid out like a normal (to us) book and not in the traditional 'back to front' manga style.

The pictures are pretty amazing and there's a lovely section at the back from Naralee (the artist), who gives us a cute insight into the work needed to sketch such a story into the manga. Art is fantastic, with a few colour pages at the beginning, and about a quarter of the Angel Experiment is covered. It does help put names to faces and I like most of the rendering of the flock (although I can't help but think Fang looks like Sasuke from Naruto with longer hair 0.0). Still, a good idea to pick this up if you love manga and the series, but be aware it's printed Western style, not Eastern.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Great for max or manga fans.

I would recommend this for both maximum ride fans and manga fans. Volume 1 covers about one quarter of the angel experiment with volume 2 slated for and October 2009 release. For those who have never read the original books maximum ride follows a group of genetically altered kids who have wings and a few own individual powers. The Flock are on the run having escaped from a research facility called the school and are being hunted by half human half wolf hunters called erasers who want their blood. With great art and a few twist and turns old fans and people new to the series should pick this up.
