Before the smash hit movie "Serenity" came "Firefly", the cult TV series which started it all and became a DVD phenomenon, selling almost half a million copies. Set 500 years in the future, "Firefly" centres around Mal Reynolds, captain of the ship-for-hire Serenity and its eclectic crew of galactic misfits. When he takes on two passengers, a young doctor and his mysterious, telepathic sister, he gets much more than he bargained for...This official companion is just what the show's fervent fans, the 'Browncoats', have been waiting for, with unseen photos, scripts, behind the scenes secrets, and exclusive input from the cast and crew, including of course creator Joss Whedon.

When something is good what follows after usually is the same. I loved the Firefly TV series and this book certainly does it justice. It gives an excellent insight into the characters and the persons that play them but what I extremely like about this book is the scripts. You can follow the dialogue of each individual episode and chuckle away at the one liners that made this series so good. for example when learning that the Captain is going to be in a dual with swords Zoe says "I think he knows what end to hhold. If you are a Firefly fan then you already have this book if you are not then watch the series and then come back for this book and hopefully it will not have sold out in the meantime. You will be making an excellent purchase is all!!!
