In this second outing the humour is even darker, with cutting wit and keen observation of the mores of today's society. Some excrutaingly brilliant dialogue between dexter and both his alter ego and new playmate. I look forward to seeing how they attempt to dilute this for any new tv series they may make.

  Dexter Returns

Fiction's most likeable serial killer is back and all he'd like is a little peace to enjoy his hobby but Sargeant Doakes is watching closely, Dexter discovers beer and the problems caused by too much of it as well as the joys of being a surrogate dad and when someone starts commiting hideous mutilations Dexter just can't find a moment for himself. Even funnier and more enjoyable than the first Dexter book, the author has created a great character
