Atticus Women's Alice Military Coat (Black)

coat arived and i thought the sizing was smallish as other reviews had sad so def get a size bigger and the arms seem really tight but that mught just be me, after putting it on and having a twirl in the mirrow a button flew off,so i need to go over the whole coat that sew them on better as there are really lose!

The coat itself is lovely, but there is a definite issue with the buttons.

They're sewn on really poorly and just fall off, out of the blue.

Within 5 minutes of having it out of the packet from play, one was off and over the last 2 weeks they have continued to just fall off since. One entire side of my coat now has NO buttons on it at all. It's not even the case that it's a little snug and i've popped them off as i've never even done the coat up.

I'd strongly advise anyone who buys this to sew on the buttons properly themselves before wearing out of the house as i've now lost half of mine :(

The coat IS an excellent bargain, but agree with other reviews with regards the buttons; one fell off within the first five minutes of wearing it.

The coat itself is a really lovely fit and nice quality.

However, almost all the buttons fell off after 1 day, so I had to spend a lot of time sewing to get the coat back up to scratch.

I saw this back in late December when it was reduced from 99 to 19.99 and I couldn't believe my eyes! As it was winter, I ordered it straight away and couldn't believe my luck. After a few days of wearing it, the buttons started to fall off which was very disappointing. It's easy to fix with some needle and thread but still, it goes to show why they were really reduced in price.

Such a pretty and feminine coat. The whole pattern is simply beautiful and the sleeves are divine! Someone wrote in her review that it would be advisable to choose one size bigger than usually since this coat is rather on a small size: I did, I ordered a 10 instead my usual 8 and while it fits perfectly on the upper side of my body it's rather loose around the waist and hips. And still the coat manages to look lovely, it adds an oomph to my hips... ;-) An absolute bargain. Sadly it's not warm enough for -24 degrees of Celsius and I have wait less freezing weather until I can actually use my lovely new winter coat. I strongly recommend everyone to sew the buttons more securely before venturing out as they are quite loosely sewn. Get yours while you still can!

The coat is great, delivery was exceptional as it was ordered around the Christmas period and arrived on time.
The only issue I have with this coat is the low quality buttons used. A couple of the button's fell off (which isn't a problem as I could sew them back on) but then a few more actually broke and couldn't be salvaged. It's wasn't a massive issue for me but an inconvenience having to find buttons which I liked and that would keep with the military look.

Beautiful coat, not usually one for coats but I adore this. The fit is wonderful just perfect!

i bought this coat for my daughter in a size 12, it fits her down to a tee with some room to grow. very flattering to your figure. she really loves the coat and the design. 1 thing i have to say is as soon as she put it on and fastened the buttoms, 1 fell off . would still recommend it so thanks play.com x

I ordered a size 12 in this coat (I normally wear a 10 - 12) and I was most disappointed when it turned out to be too small and I had to return it, so I would advise you to order a size larger than you would normally wear. Also a bit upset that when I went into to order a larger size the price had increased from the original sale price. But that said it is still a bargain and a very nice coat.
