In the sixth instalment of the Rocky franchise we find Rocky as a fifty something widower after the death of his beloved Adrian. His relationship with his son has also deteriorated and Rocky only finds solace in the stories he re-counts to the customers who visit his deli. However everything is about to change as a virtual game - showing a young Rocky defeating the current champion Mason 'The Line' Dixion - provides the catalyst for Rocky to re-apply for his boxing license, and return to the sport he loves. Initially intent on only fighting local boxers, Rocky is soon propelled back into the media limelight when Mason comes calling, offering Rocky another shot at a World Championship bout...Cue training montages, blood, sweat and tears...the Italian Stallion is back!!!

A 6th film in series about a boxer shud never be allowed to be this good, but it is. Major Respect for Sly Stallone, nobody wanted to make it, he wrote the script, raised the money and directed it himself, never gave up on himself, just like his most iconic role.
Some of the dialogues in this movie are very uplifting and inspiring,
Only quibble is that the Training Montage could have been a bit longer, apart from that it was the Perfect Goodbye.

I loved this film after seeing it at the cinema when it first came out i am a massive fan of the Rocky series so had to see this one when it came out.
I had the DVD version when it came out and decided to upgrade to the Blu-Ray version when i got my Player last month.
I found the transfer to be clear and sharp and it had a very good sound transfer as well, All in all i was very impressed with the job they had done with the transfer the end fight seen is superb in Hi-Def.
If your a fan of the series then i suggest you get this title on Blu-Ray but stick with your DVD versions of the original films as the Blu-Ray boxset is very poor and is not worth upgrading to for the money.
In closing a great film that is a fitting finale for one of the best film franchises ever and a good Blu-Ray disc to have in your collection.

 Buy the Anthology Boxset

Terrible film, too short. Don't dream of spending almost €40 on it on blu-ray. If you must buy it, buy it on DVD for half the price.
I'd recommend the Anthology boxset. The first five films are a bit dated but at least you feel like your getting value for money.

Great film, not a great blu-ray title though

I would happily give this film 10 stars if i could, but i cant because you can only give it 5 stars thats why ive given it 4stars!!
Confused...good so am i,anyway, the film is monumentally spanktastic and slys tour de france or is that force...delta force...no thats chuck norris, i digress.
In summary brilliant script, characters and makes me weep everytime and im a burly man(ahem)a prettymuch faultless film in mine eyes, however it can only get 4 stars as the quality of the bluray isnt brilliant, its good but not great.
