Blood And Bone is the story of a mysterious drifter named Isaiah Bone who falls into a mob controlled street fighting ring in the back alleys of Los Angeles.

A post-modern Samurai movie, it blends the dangerous world of gangster controlled underground Mixed Martial Arts fighting, with a visually stunning, action packed plot that will transport audiences into the world before "Ultimate" fighting became mainstream.

Required viewing for serious Martial Artists

Michael Jai White is the most underrated true Martial Artist Actor (or MAA) in Hollywood. His level of expertise (& unfortunately also his relative Bruce Lee like arrogance) is really quite unmatched. This film is required watching for the serious martial artist fan and the one scene where he delivers a complex multiple flying kick (beautifully choreographed and entirely impossible to perform in real life) speaks eloquently of his true talent. For the uninitiated, it is the Martial Arts equivalent to Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider, indeed, Micheal's inspiration for this production. Make sure you watch the special features!

Blood and Bone what a class film

Michael Jai White kicks some butt in this Martial Art/ Street Fighting movie. The level of expertise come across and matches the Jet Lee movies from America. The part where he delivers a complex multiple flying kick makes you laugh out loud in a good way!! What a talent. Glad i gave this a watch and I can totally recommend it!!
About time we had a film were the start kicks ass all the way through!

not bad..the basic plot line is a lonner who finishing doing time in prison vows to keep a promise to a friend and in the mist of that gets caught up in the underworld of street fighting..
im not usually one who likes these all new shiny american fighting ganster movies but the main star is quite impressive with some of his fighting skills.. to be compared to bruce lee as another review has stated is a bit of an insult to a true legend but hay thats just my opinon..this film has alot of simmulatries with older movies like van dammes..awol and even some of bronsons old street fighting movies..
the picture looks good and the soundtracks well done with a good few tunes..all in all if your looking for a kick ass ride with a so so storyline then this will be just what your after..

nothing here we didnt see 20 years ago from van damme or 30 years ago from bruce lee, who did it better. no story, no plot, just a boring street fighting movie with poor fight scenes. shame, as i think michael jai white is awesome in black dynamite!

a great, brutal modern fighting flick

i dunno what the guy below me is talking about giving this movie 1 star. films like house of the dead and alone in the dark are 1 star movies, this is not. and for a "top reviewer" on here to be giving such a misleading review makes me sad.

michael jai white stars as a powerful martial artist who after serving some time in prison vows to protect a friends spouse who has become almost a hostage to a criminal gang leader and street fight organiser. Isaiah (mr white) gets himself involved in the fights in order to work his way to the top and rescue the girl.

it isnt the most original concept ever but the fight scenes are fantastic. perfectly choreographed and brutal, michael really shows off his ability as a martial artist and absolutely whoops everyones ass right to the final confrontation.

imdb users rate this 6.6 out of 10 with 15,000 votes and id say a 7 is about right for this movie. if you like fighting flicks its definately one for the collection or even if you arent that fond of them you may still enjoy. it is more than worth the watch.
