Berberian Sound Studio is a love song to classic 70s horror, particularly the Italian variety that still holds cult interest today.

The story revolves around a mild-mannered foley artist making sound effects for the post-dub of an Italian horror film and it cleverly weaves this unseen (aside from a spot-on pastiche of a vintage title sequence) film into the narrative.

For vintage equipment geeks, open minded horror fans and lovers of strikingly original cinema, Berberian Sound Studio should make it into your top ten this year, a complete future classic.
