great transfer sound kicks in perfectly the dts might get your neighbours knocking but it adds for a great experience the picture has been polished up it is only a tiny bit away from being perfect not sure some of the actors in this will like it as it really does show there age in some scenes but this all adds to a great movie with a great transfer and one to add to the blu collection buy it now !!!

I have to say, I LOVE Twister. As pure adventure it's nothing but a non-stop race across American landscapes following it's team of stormchasers as they track tornadoe's through the middle of the US heartland. And even after all these years from it's 1996 release, I don't get tired of watching it.

However, while the film still looks great and it certainly doesn't look worse on Blu-ray I don't think it also looks materially better than the DVD edition looks when you play it through a Blu-ray player. Some sequences (particularly the superbly done drive in cinema sequence) look great and others about the same.

Since the Blu-ray is currently so cheap if you don't already have the film it would probably be fine to buy this edition, but if you already have the film on DVD it's maybe worth thinking twice and just letting your Blu-ray player upscale.

Brilliant film with amazing special effects and a fantastic plot to go with it. Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt show really good chemestry in this film as the storm chasers trying put there new device into practice to predict early warning signals for Twisters (Tornados). Watch how the storm hits and she the destruction it leaves behind it. Brilliant film
