From Academy Award®-winning director, Ron Howard (The Da Vinci Code, Apollo 13), comes the electrifying, untold story behind one of the most unforgettable moments in history.

When disgraced President Richard Nixon agreed to an interview with jet-setting television personality, David Frost, he thought he'd found the key to saving his tarnished legacy. But, with a name to make and a reputation to overcome, Frost became one of Nixon's most formidable adversaries and engaged the leader in a charged battle of wits that changed the face of politics forever.

Featuring brilliant portrayals by Frank Langella and Michael Sheen, Frost/Nixon is the fascinating and suspenseful story of truth, accountability, secrets and lies.

All the way through the film your attention is held by convincing performances from all the leading actors. The cimax is totally spellbinding and leaves you with a feeling that you have witnessed something you never expected.picture and sound are excellent.Sound in particular is important for a dialogue based film and the dts master audio sound is vey clear.it is well worth watching the original interview after the fim to see the real drama.
a great film from one of cinemas great perceptive directors.

The Movie based on the Historic Frost/Nixon interviews plays like a wonderful game of Chess on the Big Screen.
The Acting and Story Structure is brilliantly put together to give the viewer an entertaining experience, in what could have been borefest.
The Performances were First rate all round, The Best 2 being Frank Langhella and Martin Sheen, Kevin Bacon and Sam Rockwell also leave an Impact.

 Dull, watch the advert.......

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. Frank Langella's portrayal of Nixon had been widely reported as excellent and thrown the light back on an actor I have always liked.... But the issue was for me is that I had no real frame of reference as I wasn;t that familiar with the real Nixon in the first place. The opposite portrayal of Frost was also reportedly very good though my problem is every time I see this actor I only see a cheesy Tony Blair (I know, cheesier than the original, hard to beleive!!!) lookalike from one of his previous ventures, though if they anyone ever does a life story of Rik Mayal, this is your man to play the part, he's like Alan B'Stard in real life. In summary the film was slow and the interviews boring, the 'climax' well we had all seen the advert for the film and that would tells all you need to know (in other words the whole film) I really just found myself thinking, 'I DON'T CARE..... And that sums it up really, watch the advert and save yourself a couple of very dull hours.

The story of two men looking to get something, Nixon wanting a chance to get a little respect for his time spent in office, a bit of recognition for some of his good work. And the interviewer Frost looking for an actual hit!
The story is well written, you get to know the characters quickly and you feel you understand them on their own level. It's not hard to keep up with and its easy to take in, well written and develops nicely from start to finish.
Ron Howard is back on form and back to the limelight as a veteran director with this movie. At times he shows the bad sides of Nixon, but he also lets you realise the man was human and will even have you sympathising and feeling sorry for him.
Acting wise, Brilliant! The two leads put on Oscar worthy performances and capture the characters perfectly.
Of course there are a few mistakes in dates and factual data but its nothing that could effect the movie on a whole.

Overall: Very good movie, its very true to what happened and it realy captures the characters. A piece of history within itself.

people did tell me that the film was good even so i didn't buy until recent times, even then it took me a while to get around to actually watch.
i was a young man when 'watergate' surfaced, the 37th president was to be the first, ever, to be forced out of office, shamed ?
the film tells of how 'david frost' struggled to put the now famous interview together, when all networks failed to back the idea with 'hard-cash'
it was to become the most famous series of interviews....ever.
the result of which surely launched 'david frost's' career as a well respected political interviewer, he had till then been better known as a chat-show host....the rest as they say is 'history'
is the film worth watching ? once you accept the actors in the parts they portray................yes !
