After buying the first 2 movies on Blu Ray without seeing them first (and being impressed with them!) I decided to see the third at the cinema and boy was I glad that I did. In my opinion part 3 out-does the first two in the scare stakes, much more moments which make you jump and the odd scene which leaves you disturbed. This film is a full-on scare ride, dare you take your seat?
I was really looking forward to this movie but was slightly disappointed that scenes seen on the trailers had been taken out, dont get me wrong the film itself was better than the first and second, but why take out parts of the movie??? hopefully we get to see all the missing scenes when the dvd comes out.
Another Halloween another bit of Paranormal Activity.
I loved the simplicity of the first no budget movie. I liked the second so I was really looking forward to this third chapter. This is the prequel set in 1988 that tells the background story of the sisters when they were young and experienced the nightly demonic torments. The film does have some well timed scares, but where the first managed to get under the skin by letting the viewer use ther imagination as alot happens off the camera. This third film plays it all infront and leaves nothing to the imagination, it also uses the old school jump scares and none of the subtle feeling of dread like the first and the second films. But there is also moments when you have to admit were cool. If you liked the previous movies you'll enjoy it, but it is more of the same. If i also wanted to be picky the film is set in 1988 and the camera footige is all in HD wide screen, I'm no technical geek, but I did work for Visionhire at that time and I'm pretty sure that was not around then.
It's the weekest of the three, but the jumps are good, lets hope if there is a fourth film and looking at the box-office takings there will be they go back to basics.
I own the previous movies so although slightly disappointed with this film I'll still buy it.

where do i start ? just watched this at the cinema its a good film but at 82 mins long cinema version there seems to be lots of the film missing that is in the trailer which totally ruined it for me, just hope the bluray is an uncut version so i can watch again with the cut scary parts where they should be.
