Life is going nowhere for Shaun. He spends his life in his local pub, The Winchester, with his best mate Ed, has issues with his Mum and neglects his girlfriend Liz.

When Liz dumps him, Shaun finally decides to get his life in order. He must win back the heart of his girlfriend, repair his relationship with his mum and face up to the responsibilities of adulthood. Unfortunately, THE DEAD are returning to life and attempting to eat the living. For the newly inspired Shaun, this is just another obstacle. In the face of a full scale ZOMBIE EPIDEMIC, armed with a cricket bat and spade, Shaun sets out with Ed in tow, to rescue his mum and grudgingly his step-dad, his girlfriend and even more grudgingly her friends David and Dianne and take them to the safest most secure place he knows, The Winchester.

 Nice Steelbook for the Collection

Shaun of the Dead steelbook was a steelbook that I was thrilled to hear that was being released. As soon as I realised it was released, I ordered it and it was delivered promptly (thank you play.com). The case itself is a nice red and the case is a matte which is good because that means no finger marks!

The artwork is nice, and the red spine really does make it stand out on the shelf to all the other blu-rays, whether thats a good thing or not is down to preference, but I think it looks good!

The blu-ray quality is near perfect, its a fantastic restoration and the sound is crisp. Fantastic special features but they aren't blu-ray standards, great film.

Overall, if you're contemplating buying this film in steelbook format, do so, you will not be disappointed. Once I have the money, Hotfuzz will be next!
