Cloverfield' director Matt Reeves takes the helm for this Hollywood remake of celebrated Swedish shocker Let The Right One In, the story of a bullied young boy whose burgeoning friendship with a mysterious girl reveals a terrifying secret... she is really a centuries-old vampire.

Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) stars as Abby, a secretive 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbour. Owen can't help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.

Let Me In, a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and produced by legendary British horror brand Hammer Films, is an astonishing coming-of-age story between a young girl and an alienated young boy unlike any other you have seen. Based on the best-selling novel (Let The Right One In), and the highly-acclaimed film of the same name.

A vampire story re-make of Let The Right One In, I enjoyed this one when I saw it at cineworld. The story is about a young boy who while being tormanted by bullies at school, one night meets a young girl who has just moved by him. As he finds out more about her he finds that there is more to her than meets the eye, He must help her avoid a DI who is trying to find out about strange deaths around town and coming close to finding out about her.

A good film for a saturday night in with the popcorn.

You'll always get people complaining that this is a U.S.remake of the classic Swedish film of Let the Right One In, because Hollywood have ran out of idea's.
I thought the original 2008 Swdish film was brilliant and that does not give me any reason to dislike this. To be honest I think this version is just as good by relocating the story to a snowy New mexico in the early 80's. Let Me In may stay a little to close to the original but the overal effect is just as chilling.
The film has two amazing central performances Chloe Grace Moretz ( Hit Girl in Kick-Ass) is amazing as the vampire and credit to Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road) as the bullied kid. The relationship the the two is extreamly well done. The pace of the film may be slow, but that makes it so much more effecting as it slowly draws you in. As the first release from Hammer studio's in over twenty years they could not have picked a better movie.
This film has raised the bar on all remakes, and now I only hope that the up and coming U.S. remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is as good.
See if you like.....
Near Dark.
Stand By me.
The Lovely Bones.

A superb comeback movie for Hammer Films as Let Me In equals if not betters the original Swedish film Let The Right One In. This film is much more than a "vampire" film, it's a story of the difficulties encountered when growing up and feeling isolated, it's a story of two lonely characters who meet, become friends and their love for each other and yes, of course there is the horror aspect to it as well. The two main characters Abby and Owen are played superbly by Chloe Grace Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee, their fantastic performances would put many adult actors to shame. Let Me In is probably one of the best movies I've watched in 2010, well done to all involved.

This is a masterpiece of a horror film!! One of the best in years without doubt, a U.S remake of the 2008 Swedish film let the right one in. Normally these type of remakes can be rather weak especially with a lot of Foreign films! But this one stands apart, fantastic story, beautifully directed, amazing cast, and great creepy effects too, this is for me the best version of this film, an original and brilliant horror that puts a new edge on vampire stories, this is a must see. There are some good special features too! Must own at any cost!!
