Filmed in Rotterdam on their 2007 tour in support of the Snakes And Arrows album, this Blu-ray captures Rush at their very best in front of a fervent Dutch audience. Rush are one of the most successful rock acts of all time with worldwide album sales estimated in excess of 40 million units and with a line-up unchanged since 1974. Snakes And Arrows was the band's first new album of original material for five years and was a both critically acclaimed and commercially successful going to No.3 in both the USA and Canada and to No.13 in the UK. The tour in support of the album traversed the globe and finally drew to a close in August 2008. Now this Blu-ray provides a permanent reminder of the stunning stageshow that was Snakes And Ladders Live.

First of all, I was at these two concerts and I was blown away by Rush's performance both nights. I was waiting for this concert to come out.

I didn't buy it immediately, though. I waited for some time and finally bought it on blu-ray. When I put it in the computer and watched it, it was like I was back at the Ahoy again. The image is so perfect that it seems like you are there. The sound, too. With a pair of quality headphones you are there again. So, what about the performance? Well, this is one of the finest live appearances I have ever seen. The band plays like a Swiss watch, everything is perfect as far as musicianship is concerned, plus they play every song with feeling, all their heart and guts. Dreamline, Subdivisions, Circumstances, Armor And Sword, Neil's solo, Tom Sawyer, everything is as perfect as I can remember.

This blu-ray totally deserves every penny someone will spend on it. Highly recommended to fans of good music.

Just watched this concert and the quality is unbelievable, something to do your blu-ray player justice. The sound in DTS master audio is top notch and as is the video quality. And of course the artists them selves fantastic, hard to believe they are only a 3 piece band!.Just watch neil pearts drum solo,it.s mesmerising!.

 Awesome indeed

Disc and concert are absolutely fantastic. If you're a Rush fan and even if you own the Rush in Rio DVD set this Blu-Ray is worth it's money due to outstanding material (unique songs and the band in great form) and presentation. The sound is great: this disc features DTS HD (downmixed to DTS sounds great already) and PCM stereo, not DD5.1. Perfect instrument separation. Turn this up loud and you're at the concert on the front row. Razor sharp image. My setup is a 2.5m wide projection screen + HD beamer, a decent onkyo surround amp and Totem Mani2 speakers. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this great band on a great disc. It will re-ignite your love for Rush music like the Snakes & Arrow album already did for me.
